Prototyping

How do we know the design will work?

The simple answer is we don't. The requirements could be wrong or incomplete; the design may not meet those requirements or may be over complex. No matter how experienced the designer, an untested interface will never be perfect.

The only way to ensure a design will work is to create a prototype and test it with real users. Prototypes can take the form of simple sketches, workflow diagrams, screenshots or wireframe applications but it is iteration that is the key - testing, modifying and testing again.

By prototyping all the way though the analysis and design process, we can check our understanding of requirements and test our ideas before development starts. Picking up potential problems early in the development cycle will save time and money later down the line.

We have experience in creating prototypes for all sorts of development projects including websites, web applications and PC software.
